Rocky Patel 1961 Torpedo Cigar Review

This 6 1/8×52 stick features a firm dark chocolate wrapper with medium veins, slightly lifted seams, oily barely toothy feel, firm pack and a rich chocolate aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good smoke output giving medium bodied flavors of a rich creamy oily smooth leather and a smooth soft tobacco on the long finish. The first third produces a fairly complex flavor profile starting with a smooth tobacco then a creamy leather quickly followed by a cocoa in to the long finish that adds a bit of a zing. Body mellowed to a mild-medium with a good draw and smoke production. Right near the 1/2 way point the imperfections in the wrapper lead to it splitting apart, only held together by the band. Luckily the spli stopped soon enough that removing the band didn’t hurt it, and the last third ended at the hour mark. Flavors shifted to a medium body of just a deep smoky tobacco and coffee with a long finish. Thank you very much to Josh Silva for sending this along for review!
