La Palina El Diario Toro Cigar Review

This 6×50 stick features a very smooth and mottled dark brown wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap, even slightly spongy pack and a rich musty hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good smoke output, showing medium-full flavors of a deep smooth musty tobacco with a bitter oily finish. The first third shifts to a medium bodied smooth sweet wood and tobacco with a bit of a yeasty bread like flavor at the end of the draw. The finish is soft and long, mellowing to a dry earth. The 2nd third produces exactly the same flavor profile, hitting the 1/2 way point in 40 minutes while the ash falls in a solid chunk and the draw opens slightly. Ending at 1:20 the last third from the band down intensified in body to medium-full, also bringing in some strength kick at a medium. The flavors themselves remained unchanged. Thank you to La Palina Cigars for sending this in!
