Fuente Fuente Opus X Lost City Robusto Cigar Review

This 5.2×50 stick features a dark brown wrapper with a buttery soft firmly packed wrapper, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a faint sweet cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of rich smoke showing a smooth woodsy note on the draw and a bit of pepper bite on the oily finish. The first third quickly builds in intensity to a medium-full body while the flavors amp up. A spicy pepper and oak dominate through the draw and long finish, never letting up to the next draw. Construction is very good with almost a razor sharp burnline. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes with no big flavor shift but the strength is rising to a medium level. The bands come off unfortunately with a blog of glue taking a chunk of wrapper with it. Ending at just over an hour the last third showed no further changes, holding the ash in 1.5″ chunks with a great burn all the way down.
