Pinar del Rio 1878 Capa Oscura Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×52 stick features a firm thick lumpy dark chocolate wrapper with an oily slightly toothy satin finish, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap with a pigtail, closed foot and rich oily chocolate aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of rich medium bodies smoke showing notes of smooth oily creamy leather, coffee, chocolate and pepper with a smooth short finish. The first third mellows a bit dropping the leather and most of the pepper, burning perfectly just pouring off smoke. The 1/2 way point comes in at 40 minutes carrying the same flavors but adding a bit of strength in to the mix. Construction is 100% flawless. Ending at the hour mark the last third burned a bit quicker, moving to a deep oily sweet earth with a long finish of the same.
