La Gloria Cubana Serie R Esteli No. 60 Cigar Review

This 6×60 stick features a dark brown firmly packed butter soft wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, large double cap and pungent dry cedar aroma. First light reveals a bit of a snug draw with good smoke output showing mild-medium body flavors of a cool, oily and smooth slightly sweet leather with a slick earthy finish. The first third brings an oily cinnamon, cedar and slight smooth pepper, all of which hang around the long finish. Body is only at a medium. Starting the 2nd third 40 minutes in, construction is flawless, the ash falls in a solid chunk and flavors are unchanged. The last third warms up a bit, still at a solid medium body but bringing the cinnamon to the front with a deeper general earthy core replacing the leather. Most of the pepper dies off just leaving a smooth oily finish. Ending at 1:25 strength remained low all the way down. Thank you La Gloria Cubana for providing me this sample!
