HVC Hot Cake Laguito No. 4 Cigar Review – This 4.2×52 stick features a dark chocolate, thick, firmly wrapped oily, toothy feel with a triple cap and pungent sweet campfire aroma. First light reveals a good draw with full bodied rich thick smoke showing notes of a heavy deep slightly sweet earth with a bold pepper texture, flavor and spicy heat building on the long finish. The first third mellows the pepper a touch and brings up the sweetness, both on the draw with the earth and the finish moving the spice to a cayenne heat. 30 minutes at the 1/2 way point the deep earth shifts to a sweet zingy leather that holds all the way through the finish, dropping more of the pepper along the way, all with perfect construction and a solid ash. Ending at 50 minutes to the nub the last third remained the same.
