Romeo 505 Nicaragua Toro Cigar Review – This 6×52 soft box pressed stick features a dark chocolate firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, slightly toothy oily feel, large double cap and pungent cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw and a knot under the band. Smoke is good with medium bodied flavors of a dry slightly bitter straight tobacco. The first third opens up the draw but the body comes down to a mild-medium with the bitterness going slightly sweet keeping the plain tobacco core. The finish has a bit of a bite in the back of the throat. 1/2 way in at 35 minutes the burn is very good, smoke output improved and the body up to medium-full. The profile shifts to a cocoa and caramel with now a slight pepper zing on the long finish. Ending at 1:05 the last third adds a smooth warm earth and cinnamon only through the retrohale.
