1502 Emerald Torpedo Cigar Review
This 6.5×52 box pressed stick features a dark tan firmly packed wrapper with a dry rough toothy feel, a couple small veins, tight invisible seams and a rich peppery wood aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful rich thick full bodied smoke output with flavors of a slick oily peppery earth combo with a long zingy finish. The first third drops the ash very short in 1/2″ chunks with great burn and draw keeping the full flavored combo going on. It produces a thick rich light earth, a good bit of cream and pepper with a zing over the tongue. Hitting the 1/2 way point 45 minutes in construction is still excellent while the flavors mellow just a touch to a medium-full body, shifting to a deeper general earthiness and a big pepper flavor without any spice or zest. The finish is still long and rich while the ash continues to be very short and fluffy. Ending at 1:20 the last third brings a touch of creme to the draw while it also helps sooth the slight pepper through the finish. Construction remains great and a good medium touch of strength joins in after the band. Thank you very much to 1502 for providing this sample for review!
