La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Matatan Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with a firm even pack, minimal veins, double cap, oily satin finish and rich cocoa and cedar aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good medium bodied smoke output showing an oily brisk nuttiness that carries through the finish which just adds a tiny bit of pepper zing over the tongue. The first third is very smooth and mellow with a subtle dried cherry sweetness on the draw, leaving a cedar and nut combo through the long oily finish. The draw slowly loosens up to normal with great smoke output. Hitting the 1/2 way point 35 minutes in, the ash falls in a solid chuck, performance is still excellent and flavors take a bit of a twist. The sweetness on the draw is gone taking on just a smooth tobacco taste that carries well through the finish, still holding a bit of oily nuttiness. Ending at 1:15 the last third kept the same flavor profile while slowly bringing in a medium-full strength kick! It made me jittery but wasn’t too much for me to handle. Thank you very much to viewer ‘DTProductions’ for sending this sample in!
