Don Lino Africa Tembo Cigar Review
This 7.5×50 dark brown stick features an oily, thick wrapper with an extremely firm feel and pack, pronounced course tooth, small veins, tight seams and a damp musty aroma. First light reveals an initial sweetness on the lips and damp earthy flavors, shifting quickly to a medium bodied bitterness and tobacco on the lingering finish. Draw and smoke output are very good. The first third drops the bitterness quickly, going to a mild to medium creamy sweet wood with a slick short finish. 40 minutes in finishing the first third, flavors shift to a sweetness through the draw with a deeper earth and tobacco, dropping the pepper and bringing the body to a solid medium. The finish is longer and holds the earthiness until the next puff. 1:10 in just starting the last third, the draw flavors are joined by a slight creaminess, everything else remains the same with great performance. The last third showed no further changes and burned to the 1:50 mark with an inch remaining where it got too hot for my taste. Thank you very much to Stogieboys.com for sending this sample for review!
