CAO Last Stick Standing: C Cigar Review
This is the first cigar of a special tri-pack available free through select CAO retailers with the purchase of any other 6 CAO cigars. The purpose is to smoke each of these new blends then rate them online, and enter a drawing to win cigars or a trip. I have been asked to provide a video for the website, and this will also be part of that video, along with an added segment where I actually voice my opinion after having all three, and cast my votes. It’s a 5.5×56 (approximate) cigar featuring a medium tan smooth dry wrapper, a couple medium veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, slightly spongy even construction and a rich oily hay and tobacco aroma. First light reveals an open draw with tons of rich smoke production, smooth slightly sweet tobacco flavors with an oil slick on the lips, a somewhat parched feel in the mouth and long finish. The first third settles to a medium body with smooth creamy citrus flavors on the draw, adding a bit of pepper especially on the lips through the short finish. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point body continues to fall now at a mild-medium with the same flavor profile. Burn is a bit lop sided but not needing any attention thus far. Draw is still very loose producing plenty of rich smoke. 45 minutes in the last third starts out bringing body back to a solid medium, dropping the pepper and adding an airy spearmint like flavor to the mix, which holds through the longer finish. Ending at 55 minutes with an inch left the smoke got very hot so I ended it there. The last bit showed no further changes.
