Blanco Liga de Familia Maduro Double Corona Cigar Review – This 7×54 stick features a dense, almost blanco firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, an oily toothy feel, triple cap and faint hay and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a bit of a snug draw putting off good medium bodied smoke with a deep charcoal like earthiness with a bold pepper and spice on the short finish. The first third needs double puffs for full smoke output but burns nice and slow with the same profile, just a now long full finish of the same. The 1/2 way point comes at 50 minutes burning very slow but requiring a couple touchups, the wrapper is very thick and oily refusing to burn at some points. Smoke output is growing, body is up to medium-full with the spice dying down, notes of a deep smooth earth and nuttiness on the retrohale. Ending at 1:50 the last 1/2 burned perfectly keeping the same profile but adding a medium strength kick.
