Hiram & Solomon Entered Apprentice Gran Toro Cigar Review – This 6×56 stick features a dark tan oily satin wrapper with a slightly soft pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich woody hay aroma. First light reveals a mild-medium bodied soft sweet wood, light earth and mild pepper tingle and spice through the short finish. The draw is perfect and smoke plentiful and thick. The first third carries the same flavor package just bringing it up to a solid medium body with a long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 40 minutes, the 2nd third drops the pepper and earth going to a soft creamy sweet woodiness all carrying on through the oily finish. The last third brings in a cocoa to the mix blending perfectly with the other flavors all lasting through the finish which adds back in a touch of pepper, ending at the nub 1:40 minutes in.
