La Aurora Puro Vintage 2006 Salomon Cigar Review – This 6.5×60 stick features a perfecto shape, tapering from 60 at the largest point down to a mid 50’s at either end. The wrapper is a dark brown very oily slightly toothy firmly packed leaf with minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a rich cedar and straight tobacco humidor scent. First light reveals a good draw with minimal smoke output however medium-full bodied flavors of a deep, damp, dark slightly sweet earth with a long finish of the same. The first third burns very slowly and a bit wonky giving a medium bodied smoke with notes of a deep dark caramel, slight earth and black pepper on the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with a solid ash and the only addition to flavors being a musty aged tobacco note. Finishing at 1:20 the last third changes to a musty sweet cocoa with a light earth and very slight cinnamon spice on the tail of the long finish with a mild strength kicking in.
