San Cristobal Quintessence Robusto Cigar Review – This 5.5×50 stick features a dark brown firmly packed very toothy oil wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent sweet musty aroma. First light reveals a good draw with mild-medium bodied thick smoke showing flavors of a yeasty bread, soft woodiness and hint of coffee on a short clean finish. The first third burns perfectly if a bit fast, dropping the ash in a single chunk with a razor sharp burn. Flavors remain the same just coming up a tick in body and the finish is now full. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes performance is excellent with the body at a solid medium, flavors transitioning slightly bringing up the coffee on the draw and a very light earth and pepper tingle on the end of the finish. Ending at 55 minutes the last third burned hot but flawlessly with no further changes.
