Tacasa Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×50 stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap, firm pack, oily slight tooth and pungent cocoa & hay aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good smoke production showing medium bodied sweet earthy notes with a grit and pepper joining the short finish. The first third burns perfectly with a complex blend of sweet earth with a zesty metallic note followed by a bit of pepper joining the finish. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash drops in short chunks with flavor going very plain, still at a solid medium body now with a long finish with just a heavy damp earth. Ending at 1 hour the last third performed flawlessly continuing the consistent profile adding a big spiciness especially on the lips, near the hot nub.
