Rolling Thunder .50 Caliber Maduro Double Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×60 stick features a very dark chocolate firmly packed wrapper with medium veins, tight invisible seams, large triple cap, oily buttery soft feel and pungent musty cocoa aroma.  First light reveals a snug draw with minimal mild-medium smoke output showing flavors of a creamy smooth oily soft earth with a bit of pepper and spice zing just on the tail of the short finish.  The first third opens the draw near normal going to a medium body but still with minimal smoke.  Flavors drop the pepper and spice, keeping the short finish while the core flavors are just a damp deeper earthiness.  The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes dropping the ash in a solid chunk.  Body is up to medium-full with the finish now lasting to the next draw.  Flavors are unchanged.  Ending at 1:05 the last third burns poorly, going hot mushy and finally going out on it’s own too near the end to relight. Thank you to the guys at Rolling Thunder cigars for providing this for review!
