1502 Ruby Torpedo Cigar Review

This 6.5×52 box pressed stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with a slightly soft even light pack, small veins, tight invisible seams, a soft satin feel and faint musty hay aroma.  First light reveals a perfect draw with good medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a grassy hay and straight tobacco with a long smooth finish.  The first third quickly shakes things up to a leather core with a hint of sweet cream and a bit of black pepper flavor all lasting through the thick long finish with quite a bit of texture to the smoke.  Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes the ash dropped off in another solid chunk, the burn is near perfect and flavors are still plentiful.  The leather dies down to a soft plain earth on the background while the core flavors shift to a dried cherry, sweet cream and a building pepper especially on the finish.  Ending at just over an hour the last third shifts to a bright cherry with a minty nut zing to it especially on the warm finish.
