This 6×52 stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with small veins, tight invisible seams, slightly soft pack with a dry slightly toothy feel and a pungent damp hay aroma. First light reveals a fairly snug draw with decent mild-medium smoke output with flavors of a naturally vegetal sweetness, grassy note and nuttiness with a long finish. The first third burns well enough with a razor sharp line and white ash. Flavors quickly change to a soft creamy coffee note and a background of cherry sweetness, both holding through the finish. Near the end of the first third the draw opens up to perfect, bringing the body up to a medium-full making all the flavors really jump out. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 50 minutes, construction is flawless dropping the ash in a solid third chunk. Draw and smoke output is perfect while flavors continue to change. It had a leather and start of a pepper while the coffee and sweetness died off. Then it was dominated by a deep peppery earth but with no harshness or spice just a long solid finish. Ending at 1:45 where it got hot and mushy, the last third showed no further changes.
