This 5.5×42 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, oily buttery soft feel and a light hay aroma. First light reveals a good draw with decent medium bodied smoke production. Flavor is 100% artificial sugar from the sweetened tip. The first third shows no change on the draw while the finish lets the sugar fade going to a heavy black pepper and tobacco. The 1/2 way point hits at 30 minutes with the sweetened tip finally wearing off. The natural flavors are mild-medium bodied showing just a straight tobacco, little bit of earth and nut with the pepper hanging around on the long finish. The band did have a glob of glue that tore the wrapper slightly but the binder held. Ending at 55 minutes the last third ramped up flavors to a medium-full with notes of vanilla, nut and straight tobacco with the pepper lingering on the finish with no strength.
