This 6.5×52 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap, buttery soft feel and pungent sweet peppery tobacco aroma. First light reveals a loose draw with good medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a slightly sweet plain tobacco on the draw with a very short clean finish just leaving a trace of pepper zing. The first third brings a frustratingly mild body to the table with just a sweet creamy leather and slight caramel quickly fading to a short finish. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point things finally wake up, coming to a medium body amping everything up finishing with a big smooth earthiness. Ending at 1:10 the last third went hot and mushy around the band point going again to a washed out mild body and deep earth on the finish. Thank you very much to David Nash for providing this sample!
