5 Vegas AAA (2013) Cigar Review

This 6×54 stick features a dark chocolate firm, oily toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and a faint peppery damp earth aroma. First light reveals a slightly loose draw with plenty of rich medium-full smoke output showing flavors of a dry coffee and earth with a bit of pepper coming through the long finish. The first third smooths everything out giving a creamy texture, tiny bit of sweetness to the earth on the draw and adding an oily slick left on the lips. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 40 minutes the 2nd third gets even smoother and creamier taking out much of the pepper leaving a lingering dark roasted coffee through the finish, still at a near full body. Ending at 1:10 minutes where the nub got very hot, the last third just brought in a medium strength to the mix. Thank you very much to Joe Canez for sending in this sample!
