La Palina Maduro 50 Cigar Review

This 6×50 stick features a very dark almost black wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, an even firm pack, slightly toothy satin feel, triple cap and very strong deep hay and barn aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with rich plentiful medium-full bodied smoke showing a body of a slick, creamy leather and smooth deep earth through the long full finish. The first third brings much the same performance holding the big body and smooth flavors all the way though with perfect construction. A little pepper joins at the tail end of the finish. 40 minutes in the ash drops at the 1/2 way point, and the leather has tapered off just leaving a creamy smooth earth all the way draw to draw. The last third brings a dark coffee flavor to the draw and a warm nuttiness to the finish, which progressed to a deeper earth and dropped the pepper, ending at 1:25. Thank you very much to La Palina Cigars for sending this sample in!
