La Estrella Cubana Oscuro Churchill Cigar Review
This 7×48 stick features a very dark almost black wrapper with a firm, oily lumpy pack, rough tooth and spotting, double cap, medium veins, tight seams and deep wood aroma. First light reveals a bit of a snug draw with good smoke output showing medium bodied flavors of a very oily smooth tobacco with a long finish that brings a tiny bit of pepper zing. The first third develops much the same showing excellent construction and performance with smooth, tangy wood flavors on the draw and a slick oily long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes the only change thus far is the addition of a cream flavor giving the combo a rich almost dessert like experience. Ending at the hour ten mark the last third from the band down slowly got warmer, washing out the core flavors in favor of a hot nuttiness with a plain deep tobacco finish. Thank you to viewer Justin Hodges for sending this one in for review!
