Drew Estate Acid Toast Cigar Review

This 6×50 stick features a very dark brown, thick oily wrapper with slight tooth, small veins, tight seams, double cap and extremely pungent artificially sweet potpourri aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with good smoke output, body is not discernible at this point as the artificially sweetened tip is overpowering everything about the actual smoke flavor. 20 minutes in the ash falls off at the end of the first third, with the artificially sweet tip wearing down exposing a very mild sweet potpourri and wood smoke flavor, coming through mostly on the finish. Dropping all the sweetness by the 1/2 way point, flavors finally come through as a burned dark coffee and charred spice. Still not a natural flavor combo, but without the sweetness not too appealing at all to me. Ending at 55 minutes the last bit was consistent, showing the same profile through the whole 2nd half of the smoke.
