Antonio Benitez Robusto Maduro Cigar Review

This 5×50 stick features a very dark brown firm mottled wrapper with a dry smooth texture, medium veins, tight seams, triple cap and rich hay and chocolate aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with huge amounts of thick rich smoke giving medium-full body flavors of a deep dark slightly bitter espresso and a very long smooth finish of the same. The first third continues along the same path just adding a little creaminess to the start of the draw. Hitting the 1/2 way point 30 minutes in, the ash drops off cleanly, body is up to full with a little added strength and the flavors have gone more to the creamy coffee side. Ending at 1 hour to the nub where it got too warm for my taste, the last third showed no further changes. Thank you to P Benitez Cigars for giving this to me at the 2012 IPCPR show!
