Hoyo de Monterrey Reposado en Cedros Liso Cigar Review

This 7×49 stick features a dark brown very firm and rough wrapper with small veins, tight seams, an oily rock hard feel, double cap and peppery wood aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with adequate smoke output giving medium-full thick creamy textured sweet wood flavors, with a long finish of the same. The first third continues the same flavors but adds a rich tobacco under the wood, coming out a little more on the finish as the wood subsides a bit. Burn is razor sharp, the draw loosened up a bit and it’s burning quite slowly. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash holds on in third chuncks, construction is perfect and flavors remain consistent. Ending at 1:30 the last third showed no changes.
