Vengeance Series ’98 Robusto Cigar Review

This 5.5×50 cigar features an oily, dark brown mottled wrapper with small veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, firm even pack and a very pungent hay aroma. First light reveals a mild-medium body of a slightly sweet grassiness, with a snug draw and minimal smoke output. The first third brings the body to a solid medium, with slightly sweet and creamy leather and nuttiness on the draw, keeping a slightly longer finish. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors have shifted to a still medium body but heavy rich earth that holds through the very long finish to the next draw. The ash held on for 1/2 the cigar falling in a solid chunk, burn is very good and the draw is still snug. Ending at 1:15 the last third moves to a warm mint flavor, and the finish grows short and crisp. Thank you very much to viewer Greg Hayes for sending this one in!
