Padilla La Terraza Robusto Maduro Cigar Review

This 5×52 cigar features a very dark brown lumpy, splotchy wrapper with very slight tooth, a few imperfections, soft spots, double cap and the band is on so tight it’s squeezing it to a slight waist-line. First light reveals a medium bodied earthy smooth tobacco with a big oil slick and thick smoke. The finish is big and long, exceptionally chewy and smooth. The first light mellows a bit to a mild-medium, with a light slightly sweet tobacco, dropping the bit of heavy earth, and lightening up on the smoke output a bit while also shortening the finish. Burn is very good, ash is straight and tight, draw is perfect. 35 minutes in starting the last third, the ash has dropped off in a solid chunk, draw is still great, burn is a tad lop sided but not a problem. Flavors are almost the same, just taking on a deeper tobacco flavor through the draw. Ending at 50 minutes at the nub, there were no changes to the last bit. Thank you very much to viewer Jeff Oda for generously donating this for review!
