Partagas Black Label Bravo Cigar Review

This 4.5×54 cigar features a very dark brown oily wrapper with a firm slightly rough feel, tight invisible seams, one minor vein, triple cap and rich oily tobacco aroma. First light reveals a very snug draw, almost unsmokeable. The flavors are mild-medium, very oily and chewy with a thick sweet tobacco taste and long finish. The first third develops to a medium body of slightly sweet, very thick and savory leather with a long smooth oily finish. It’s like a combination of tobacco and meat flavors. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors shift a bit, bringing down the meatiness and adding a bit of deep earth and pepper especially on the finish. After taking the band off draw improved slightly, although performance is still fine with the snug draw. Ending at 1:15 the last third shifted to all deep oily earth and tobacco with a heavy sweetness through the finish. Performance was very good all the way down to the nub.
