Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Criollo Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×54 stick features a very dark tan, soft oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and soft tobacco and hay aroma. First light reveals a very snug draw but good smoke output. Body is medium-full with a smooth aged tobacco draw flavor that brings in a big oily pepper blast through the finish. The first third burns very slowly with the same snug draw and excellent smoke output. Body remains high with very smooth creamy tobacco and pepper on the draw moving to a pepper and spice through the short finish. 40 minutes in just starting the 2nd third, a bit of sweetness joins the draw flavors, everything else is identical flavor wise. The draw has slowly opened up a touch, still snug but burning very well. Ending at 1:30 the last third showed no further changes. Thank you very much to Nick erA aka User ‘X3’ for sending this in for review, I really appreciate it!

I’ve had and enjoyed the Champagne and Maduro from this line, but not the Criollo. I really do need to give this a try. I appreciate the value that Perdomo brings to the market.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

Sounds like a nice easy going option. Ocassionally I just want something on the milder side, but need SOME flavor. Need to revisit perdomo.

Kudos for smoking before the sun comes up!

I didnt catch the sweetness from this stick but mine was a different size i believe so that may have ben it. I really enjoyed the hell out of this stick though. great review.

I smoked this stick in a churchill this afternoon but didn’t get any pepper flavor. Very mild stick and a quick burn in the first third but slowed considerably. Very nice mild tabacco flavor throughout.

had this one given to me by a friend and its been sitting in the humi for a while. hasnt been on the top of my list to smoke, but after reading a few reviews, it started to peak my interest more. almost the total opposite experience from this review–loose draw and a very smooth, almost creamy taste; no tobacco or pepper or must at all, and this continued throughout the smoke. Not even full bodied, more like mild-med. Lots of great smoke. Nice and clean, even burn throughout.

Just enjoyed the 10th Anniversary Champagne version. Similar to this review with less of pepper but very warm and mellow. Nice stick.
