Tambo Super Robusto Cigar Review

This 6×50 stick offers a medium brown oily wrapper with a smooth finish, some minor and a few medium veins with a slightly floral aroma. First light reveals a very loose but controlable draw with tons of rich oily smoke production. Flavors are medium bodied with a slightly dry, musty tobacco and touch of pepper with a short clean finish. The first third shows a lighter flavor settling at a mild-medium body but with very rich smoke. It’s light in density but extremely plentiful and coats the mouth well with a creaminess, a soft deep aged tobacco and finishing with a touch of black pepper but no spice. The flavors didn’t change at all until the last couple inches, shifting to a soft light nutty profile, but keeping the great smoke and finish. Thank you very much to Tambo Cigars for sending this for review!

Very nice review Bryan, going to order me a sampler of these. These sound tasty… Thanks for the review…

  • Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the great review. I am glad our Super Robusto, my favorite smoke I might add, performed well for you. I am confident it benefited by allowing it to rest awhile after its long journey of 10,000 miles. Love the tiki torches too, just goes with the whole exotic Indonesia thing! Will wait anxiously for your opinion on some of the smaller guys. Small stick but some incredible smoke volumes in my not so unbiased opinion..LOL. Anyway thanks again and smoke on my friend! Hey Bryan and Bob! Good to see this stick reaching the mainstream! I absolutely love these cigars, and the flavor of true tobacco, none of the “chocolate-jasmine-meringue” silliness of other mainstream cigars.

I think you’ll find the smaller ring gauges are much stronger in flavor intensity, at least I do.
