Perdomo Habano Maduro Robusto Cigar Review

An excellent 5×52 smoke, producing copious amounts of thick cool smoke. Starting with a good light peppery heat on the long finish, the flavors of chocolate and earth mellowed into a smooth leather and cocoa oily mixture.  Overall a medium-full bodied experience, it is sure to please the more demanding palette for sure. Never over powering, the blend instead delivers a solid flavor with each draw and keeps you interested all the way through. 1 hour to the nub where it got hot.

Nice review! I was given one of these in the 60 ring gauge size and I did not think it was full bodied at all. It would be interesting to hear your take on the bigger ring gauge compared to the smaller robusto! REALLY good smoke though! I think that 60 gauge lasted me over 2 hours!

  • Thank you! I will gladly be trying everything I get my hands on, including all the different vitolas of past smokes for comparison.

Very nice review, I had my first Habano Mudro the other day and found it to be a great smoke, well build, perfect burn, and the flavors are just what I like.
I will definitely be picking up a few more.
I think I paid $6.50 for one at the local B&M.

  • Thanks!

Just picked these up at cigar.com on their daily special. Have had one before and remember enjoying it. Thanks for the nice review and jogging my memory as to how much I really liked it.

  • Thanks for watching! Oh my this is one of my old horrible vids!

I loved this stick really had a subtle sweetness to it. Awesome smoke for the price though. Way better than many maduros I’ve smoked at double the price. It was a very satisfying after dinner smoke for me. Great reveiw brian.

Had this one today, very disappointed in it. It was very bitter ad tasted very young. It almost had a chemical taste. Not sure why it was that way. I wish it would have been better.

  • Smoked one of these yesterday. I too noticed an unpleasant foot smoke aroma. However, I did not get a lot of smoke out of it. I had to double hit it. I have this problem quite often. Do you have any ideas what could cause this problem? Humidity etc… TY.

A little late here, but yeah, it sounds like excessive humidity to me; don’t know about the foot aroma, though – dirty socks? I have never had those problems with well stored Perdomos, and this one is a particular favorite of mine.
