Tambo Grand Robusto Cigar Review
This 6×62 stick offers a dark brown wrapper with a satin finish and slight bit of tooth. It has minimal veins, invisible seams and a firm pack, with a rich slightly peppery aroma. First light reveals a very loose draw, decent smoke production and medium bodied flavors of a rich oily nut. The first third develops in to a creamy leather on the draw that quickly goes nutty, staying on the short finish. Smoke production is low, but you still get good amounts of flavor. 35 min in at the 1/2 way point, the ash fell off in a solid chunk. Flavors shifted slightly to a mild-medium body of a somewhat creamy smooth leather with a touch of sweetness that goes in to the finish, with a bit of earth. The burn is ok but not perfect and the draw is loose. Ending at 1:15 the last third brought up the leather on the draw and the body came up to a solid medium, while smoke output also increased nicely for a great finish. Thank you very much to Tambo for sending this sample for review, I greatly appreciate it!
