Quesada Espana Short Robusto Cigar Review
This little 4×50 cigar offers a firm medium tan wrapper with a slight oil sheen, bit of lumpiness, minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap and a milk chocolate aroma. First light reveals an effortless draw with tons of rich medium-full bodied smoke giving a bitter grass flavor. The first third morphs in to an interesting combination of flavors. On the start of the draw its a smooth wood flavor, then quickly shifts to a black pepper which then quickly gives up to a cayenne spice, which remains through the long finish. It imparts a nice tingle and oily mouthfeel but keeps a smooth creamy texture. 25 min in at the 1/2 way point, the draw flavors in the 2nd third are joined by a milder dusty chocolate flavor that mixes very well with the spice. Ending at 40 min where it got very hot quite quickly, the last third only saw the spice die way down, bringing the chocolate more tot he front especially on the finish. Thank you very much to viewer Ken Spraberry for providing this sample for review!
