Monte Pascoal Belicoso Cigar Review
This 5.5×52 torpedo sized stick offers a dark tan wrapper with a slight red hue, small and medium veins, some surface spots and flaws, invisible seams and firm even construction. It puts off a rich soft tobacco aroma and has a light heft. First light reveals a bitter grass taste with a touch of sweet on the finish. The draw is perfect, smoke output is very good. The burn is a little wonky with a couple veins catching and burning down rapidly in a line. The first third develops nicely, easing on the bitterness and coming with a creamy leather profile. Medium bodied, it is smooth and rich with great smoke output, a long finish and even burn. 30 min in at the 1/2 way point, the first third ended on a very nice note of creamy leather. The 2nd third develops in to a smoky tobacco flavor with a hint of sweetness that changes to caramel by the start of the last third, bringing an earthiness along as well. Ending at 1:10 min, the flavors in the last third were unchanged. Thank you very much to CigarsFromBrazil.com for sending this sample for review, I appreciate it!
