Southern Draw Manzanita Robusto Cigar Review – This 5.5×54 stick features a dark chocolate, dense, slightly soft packed oily wrapper with a satin finish, large double cap and musty hay and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a medium-full thick chewy smoke with jolly rancher apple on the draw that quickly goes to pepper bomb zing and spice through the long heavy finish. The first third tames the pepper somewhat but it’s still strong. The first third goes to a coffee cake sweetness on the draw with the finish still dominated by the pepper lasting to the next draw. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the sweetness dropped, leaving a nutty coffee and pepper all lasting through the long smooth finish. Ending at 1:10 the last third kept the same notes and added a touch of strength.
