Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Robusto Cigar Review – This 5.5×54 box pressed stick features a dark tan butter soft wrapper with a slightly soft even pack, closed foot, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a floral hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke showing a big pepper and cayenne spice with a sweet roasted nut though the long finish. The first third shifts to a meaty, umami note with a thick mouthfeel that makes you salivate. The pepper and spice are still there but the overall smoke is very smooth. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the only change is the pepper starting the mellow out. Construction is flawless, dropping a solid ash chunk. Ending at 1:10 the last third went very hot at the nub where flavors washed out but up to that point notes were unchanged.
