Kristoff Connecticut Robusto Cigar Review – This 5.5×54 stick features a dark brown buttery soft oily wrapper with a soft even but dense pack, closed foot, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, hay aroma and a large coiled pigtail cap. First light reveals a loose draw with medium bodied smoke showing a natural sweet grassiness and hay with a rough pepper bit on the short clean finish. The first third has a vegetal profile with a heavy walnut, grassy sweetness and rough bold pepper on the now long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the draw snugs to normal, smoke output is high, the ash is still holding on, body is up to medium-full with flavors going to a heavy deep nut and oak with a rough pepper bite lingering on. Ending at 1:10 the last third burns slowly showing the same profile but adding quite a strength kick matching the body.
