Drew Estate Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×54 stick features a dual wrapper with a full candella leaf topped only above the band by maduro. It has minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a slightly soft even pack, an oily butter soft feel and very pungent fire cured tobacco aroma taking over. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful smooth mild-medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a slight candella sweetness quickly followed by a mellow fire cured taste which grows on the fairly long finish. The first third goes back and forth between the same profile and one more towards being a milder regular KFC. Burn and draw are excellent and the body is a solid medium. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the construction is good with a slightly wavy burn but perfect draw and smoke. Flavors are exactly the same. Ending at 1:05 the last third changes once you hit the maduro portion, going to a soft cocoa on the draw and the faintest of the fire cured on the finish.
