Island Lifestyle Maduro Toro Cigar Review – This 6×54 stick features a dark chocolate densely packed firm wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, oily satin feel and musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a loose draw with good medium bodied smoke output showing flavors of a straight tobacco, earth and big pepper on the draw adding an oily spice through the long finish. The first third burns very well and slowly, producing copious amounts of smoke even off the foot resting. Flavors are much the same with the pepper coming down a tick, well balanced with the rest. Plus a nice natural maduro sweetness joins the draw. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the ash falls in a solid chunk, burn is excellent with no issues. The body is up to medium-full with the earth taking over both draw and finish. The tobacco drops, the pepper is almost gone along with all traces of the spicy heat. Ending at 1:10 the last third continued the great performance going warm at the last inch just adding a little bit of strength to the mix.
