This 7×54 box pressed stick features a dark cocoa colored wrapper with a soft even pack, oily butter soft feel, small veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and pungent coffee and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with copious amounts of mild-medium smoke production showing flavors of a very smooth oily sweet cocoa and a woodiness coming through the finish. The first third burns perfectly if a tad fast, showing a complexity of desert like flavors. On the draw you get a sweet creamy cocoa and coffee while a pepper joins it all through the long finish. Body is still muted, it just leaves me wanting more. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes, dropping the ash in solid 1.5 inch chunks. Burn and draw are both absolutely perfect with the body slowly ramping up to a solid medium. The pepper on the finish fades away replaced by a spicy oil left on the lips. Flavor wise the draw brings up the sweet milk chocolate with a touch of the coffee left, continuing on to the next draw. Ending at 1:20 the last third shifted to a meaty earth, keeping a bit of the cocoa while the finish went deeper and brought in a bit of strength to round it out.
