Garo Double Habano Toro Cigar Review
This 6×50 stick features a dark brown lightly packed mottled wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a large double cap, silky soft feel and pungent hay and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium bodied flavors of a slightly sweet soft earth and nut combo followed by a silky smooth oily long finish. The first third unfortunately starts burning poorly, starting to tunnel and not produce very much smoke or flavor. The whole thing went soft and squishy just 0 minutes in all the way back to the band. Double puffing while not ideal overall at least allows some flavors to come out. A nice cream and bigger sweetness has joined in the draw flavor mix. 15 minutes in I had to torch it just to get it somewhat evened out and head off the tunneling. Ending at just 40 minutes where the smoke got too hot for my taste, it at least smoked well for the remainder, showing no further flavor changes.
