D’Crossier Golden Blend 10 Years Robusto Cigar Review
This 4 7/8×50 stick features a dark brown red hued wrapper with a soft even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and rich peppery cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumed of smooth creamy medium bodied smoke output with flavors of a smooth oily cedar, black pepper but no zing or spice, bit of sweet caramel and an oily finish. The first third develops to a very silky, smooth combination of the caramel, a lighter cedar, oily smoke and a long finish of the same, dropping the pepper. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes, dropping the ash in a solid chunk and keeping flavors unchanged with the exception of a tiny bit of the pepper coming at that tail of the finish. Ending just over the hour mark, the last third moves to a much deeper tobacco and earth combo, leaving a heavy dark finish and giving a bit of heartburn – very substantial. Body is up to medium-full while the strength stays low. Thank you to D’Crossier for sending this in for review, I greatly appreciate it!
