Dona Elba Cigars Gran Momba Cigar Review
This 14×50-66 pyramid shaped cigar features a two leaf wrapper along the length with a buttery soft feel, closed foot, firm even pack, minimal veins, tight seams with color variation all along, large triple cap and potent hay aroma. First light reveals a great draw with minimal smoke output showing a mild smooth nuttiness and slightly sweet grass through the clean finish. 10 minutes in body is at a mild-medium with minimal smoke output, needing two puffs to get the smoke through the cigar to your mouth. Flavors are a sweet candy like peppermint and nuttiness both on the draw and finish. 1 hour in and 4 inches have burned, completely changing to a soft oily plain tobacco. Construction is great, burnline is almost razor sharp and the draw is still perfect. Smoke output is slowly increasing. 2 hours in just in to the 2nd third, it no longer requires double puffs to get smoke, but flavors are still very mild and boring by this point. 3 hours in at the 1/2 way point, flavors remain the same but it’s getting easier to get smoke out of although it does require multiple relights. 3:40 in, flavors finally change again, coming up to a medium body, putting out a lot more smoke and giving a slightly sweet nut again but no mint as in the start. OK 5 hours in, it has a couple inches remaining but it’s getting very soggy and warm so I’ll end it. Thank you very much to viewer Wayne for sending this monster in for review!
