Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Serie Dirty Rat Cigar Review
This 5×44 stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a very firm slightly toothy pack, oily feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, flat pig tail cap and a faint chocolate hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with the trademark DE copious amounts of smoke both from the draw and off the foot. Flavors are medium bodied with a slightly bitter deep earth and bit of a pepper zing through the finish. The first third burns fairly quickly holding the ash for inch chunks with the flavors going to a not bitter but not sweet either, deep earth and black coffee on the draw with a smooth earthy deep finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point 25 minutes in performance is still perfect with the draw flavors joined by a dry chocolate and a bigger pepper zing washing through the long finish. Ending at 50 minutes the burn slowed as the stick progressed, keeping the same flavors in the last bit. Thank you very much to Dan Curry for sending this in for review!
