A Flores Gran Reserva Grand Toro Cigar Review
This 6×54 stick features a dark chocolate, squishy, oily slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large triple cap and rich musty hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plenty of rich medium bodied smooth smoke showing a sweet tobacco and a slick oily earth short finish. The first third shows a smooth oily cedar on the draw with a pepper and spice combo moving to a deep wood through the finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point 35 minutes in, construction is perfect putting off plumes of medium-full bodied smooth smoke with still a smooth cedar core adding a bit of a coffee to the mix. The finish is the same just growing longer, now holding to the next draw keeping the spice on the lips. The last third brings the coffee way up along with a good bit of strength, pushing the wood notes to the side along with most of the pepper and spice. Ending out at 1:15 where the nub got hot, construction proved to be very good all the way down. Thank you very much to Pinar Del Rio Cigars for providing this for review!
