Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 50 Years Box Pressed Cigar Review
This 5×55 box pressed stick features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a very soft squishy pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, lare double cap, smooth oily sheen and feel and a rich dark cocoa aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good medium bodied smoke output showing very silky sweet earth notes on the draw followed by an oily coffee through the somewhat short clean finish. The first third burns very well and quite slowly with good smoke output and a normal draw. Flavors are very much like the start, adding a slight chocolate and syrupy stickiness to the finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point 30 minutes in the ash falls off in a solid chunk, performance is flawless and flavors transition just slightly, dropping most of the coffee, ramping up the earthiness and adding a bit of black pepper on the back of the tongue. Ending at 55 minutes with an inch left, the last third just shifted the finish to a warm smooth chocolate. Thank you to viewer Joshua DeMont for sending this one in!
