Foundry Wells Cigar Review
This 6×50 stick features a unique metal gear over the paper band, supposedly to be collected as part of a future creation from the line. The wrapper is dark tan with an oily slightly tooth firm feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and mild barynyard aroma. First light reveals a great draw with plentiful rich medium-full smoke output showing flavors of an oily deep and substantial earth especially through the long finish. The first third morphs a bit bringing a slight caramel to the draw with a big woodiness, while the finish remains thick and earthy. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes, the ash held on in inch chunks, burn was good and performance excellent. Draw flavors changed very little with the big shift being the finish shortening quite a bit. Ending at the nub 1:10 in, the last third remained consistent. Thank you to General Cigar for sending this in for review!
