C & C Connecticut Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a medium tan lumpy hand rolled wrapper with an even spongy give, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, smooth soft texture and a rich hay and wood aroma. First light reveals an extremely loose zero resistance draw with copious amounts of medium bodied smoke giving flavors of a slightly bitter wood and a long smooth finish. The first third develops much the same, dialing down the bitterness a touch while bringing body up to a medium-full. There is quite an oil left on the lips and a zingy twang through the finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 30 minutes, the ash holds on till then and flavors show no changes. Ending at 50 minutes at the nub, the last third showed no changes. This sample was from the 2012 IPCPR show courtesy of C&C Cigars.
